While the AI for Good Global Summit unfolds at PalExpo from 7 to 10 July 2026, the Geneva Hub of the Young AI Leaders Community (YAIL), the Geneva Network of Innovators (ge-ni), Geneva Macro Labs, Si Labs, the Youth AI Governance Forum (YAIGF), and a growing coalition of YAIL Hubs worldwide are co-hosting The Hive at the SDG Solution Space, on Tuesday 7 July, from 17h00.

The evening combines substance and conviviality: welcome drinks and hub announcements, a high-level panel, a participant-led unconference across breakout rooms, a catered dinner, a closing round of Brain Snacks — short, curiosity-driven talks from the room itself — and an afterparty hosted by Si Labs.

The Hive has also been recognised as an endorsed side event of the Global Dialogue on AI Governance, the intergovernmental process convened by the United Nations the same week in Geneva to shape international cooperation on AI.

What to expect at The Hive

From Users to Architects: a co-Authored future with all generations

What to expect from our High-level Panel, starting at 18:00, and moderated by Théophile Houessou

Our high-level speakers

Stephen Ibaraki

Chiara Debenedetti

Ansgar Koene

“Young people are not just the users of tomorrow’s AI—they are already its researchers, entrepreneurs, policymakers, and citizens today. My aim for this conversation is to create a space where different perspectives can meet, ideas can be challenged, and everyone leaves not only inspired, but equipped to take action.”

Théophile Houessou, our moderator for the panel and member of the Geneva Hub

The Hive's Unconference

What to expect from our Unconference, starting at 18:45, in collaboration with the Geneva Network of Innovators (ge-ni) and the Youth AI Governance Forum (YAIGF)

After the panel, the evening opens into the Unconference: the participant-led heart of The Hive. Working from a shortlist of topics pre-voted by registrants beforehand, attendees split into breakout rooms to discuss the AI questions they most want to dig into, from governance, trust and accountability to financing and innovation for the common good. The session is co-organised with the Geneva Network of Innovators (ge-ni) and the Youth AI Governance Forum (YAIGF): in each room, a rapporteur captures the discussion, and the group synthesises the input into a short set of "Youth AI Governance Messages from Geneva" — read back before dinner and reflecting the views of those who took part, not an official AI for Good output. Remote participants join the same topic vote and follow along through a shared hybrid interface. Have a topic in mind? Let us know through our short input form.

Brain Snacks at The Hive

What to expect from our Brain Snacks activity, starting at 21:00, led by Haroon Khan, Board member of the Geneva Hub of Young AI Leaders

Later in the evening, once dinner winds down, the floor opens for Brain Snacks — a set of short, curiosity-driven talks from participants themselves. Anyone can take the mic for five to seven minutes on a subject they're genuinely passionate about, not necessarily their professional or academic field, as long as they can weave in AI or an emerging technology. Fill out the form available on your right and pitch us your proposal! Whatever you've never quite found the right stage or audience for, this is it. Our only rule: no sales pitches or product promotion. Questions are collected throughout the evening, and a few are drawn for a closing Q&A. Want to present, or just flag interest? Tell us through the same short input form.
